Saudi Arabia’s first international superyacht destination opens its marina to sailing and motor superyachts, bringing world-class infrastructure, sport and hospitality to the gateway of the Red Sea.
AMAALA, Red Sea, Saudi Arabia — AMAALA Yacht Club (AYC) has officially commenced operations, opening its marina and club to founding members and visiting yachts.
The club marks the arrival of a new international hub for luxury yachting on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, developed within the AMAALA destination by Red Sea Global.
Located approximately 2,000 nautical miles from Monaco and closer to the Mediterranean than the Caribbean, AMAALA offers the global yachting community a new winter sailing region during the months when fleets traditionally migrate south.
The destination creates a new natural gateway to the Indian Ocean.

AMAALA Marina
AMAALA Marina offers 119 berths and can accommodate sailing and motor superyachts of more than 100 metres. Fuel, full marine services, and maintenance and repair facilities will be introduced over the coming years.
Berthing and mooring rates follow the standards of major European yachting destinations. Owners securing permanent berths will have access to a range of benefits through AMAALA resort partners.
For motor superyacht owners, AMAALA offers a purpose-built winter base with comprehensive technical support, including fuel, provisioning and crew services.
Maintenance and repair facilities will be added in the coming years, providing direct access to the Red Sea cruising grounds and, subsequently, the Indian Ocean.
For sailing yacht owners, the destination offers a growing calendar of racing and cruising activities.
Together, the marina’s capacity for vessels exceeding 100 metres places AMAALA among the world’s leading superyacht destinations, regardless of vessel type.
The AMAALA Yacht Club
At the heart of the destination is AMAALA Yacht Club, a 7,900-square-metre club bringing members and visitors together through a range of dining and social spaces.
The complex includes AMAALA Lounge, ANQA, 27°C and The Deck, as well as a rooftop pool, private meeting rooms and spaces for events.
Designed by HKS Architects, the club uses suspended terraces and maritime forms inspired by the rock formations sculpted by the Red Sea. The aim is for the venue to become a permanent meeting point for the international sailing community.
Education and Training
Education is at the heart of the club’s project, alongside hospitality.
The AYC Academy offers an RYA-certified sailing programme, as well as water sports experiences for people of all ages and skill levels.
The academy is central to the club’s ambition to develop its own sailing culture in Saudi Arabia.
AMAALA and The Ocean Race 2027
The AMAALA Yacht Club will also become part of the international sailing calendar, serving as the central venue for the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race 2027.
It will be the first arrival of The Ocean Race in the Middle East and the first time the competition will conclude in the waters of the Red Sea.
In addition, the club will host a broader programme of international yachting events throughout the year.
Club Members and Visitors
Club members and visitors will also have access to AMAALA’s growing collection of luxury resorts, including Four Seasons, Six Senses, Rosewood, Equinox and Nammos, with two additional resorts expected to open in the coming months.
With average temperatures of approximately 26°C and lows of around 23°C during the season, and located just 45 minutes from AlWajh International Airport, AMAALA offers a comfortable and accessible year-round base for owners, guests and crews.
