“Luna Rossa – The unforgettable challenge” presented in a unique context of Cup anecdotes, enhanced by the photographs of legendary nautical photographer Carlo Borlenghi
The book, “Luna Rossa – The unforgettable challenge”, published by Rizzoli, was presented on December 1st in Milan in the evocative Spazio Polene of the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia.
Hosting the event was Giovanni Bruno, sports reporter and well-known Sky Sport anchor-man, who invited Max Sirena, Guido Meda, Carlo Borlenghi and Stefano Vegliani on stage to share their most interesting anecdotes and the stories behind some of the most beautiful photos in the volume.
The occasion allowed guests to leaf through the almost 300-page book for the first time and relive the achievements of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team in the battle against its New Zealand rivals, as it came close to winning the America’s Cup after having triumphed in the PRADA Cup. With his over 200 photographs, Carlo Borlenghi led spectators in the journey through his eyes of the team’s endeavours at sea and also its more “human” side. The written stories of the authors depict the achievements of the team that kept Italians glued to their screens for nights on end, as they followed the regattas held in the waters of Auckland.
A book-signing session was held at the end of the event.
