After being crowned as the world’s top superyacht builder for the 20th time, Azimut Yachts plans ahead for another year of leadership in 2020. At Boot 2020, the International Boat Show held in Düsseldorf from January 18 to 26, the Shipyard will be exhibiting six yachts totalling over 120 meters in length: the S Collection flagship Grande S10, which at nearly 29 meters in length is the largest yacht the brand has ever taken to Boot, the S6 in a new version, the Azimut 78 and 72 from the Flybridge Collection, the Atlantis 45 and the Magellano 53.

Boot 2020, at which Azimut Yachts will proudly be in the spotlight again this year, will have another feather in its cap in the form of the Azimut Grande S10. The Azimut brand’s novelty of the year made a splash as one of the stars at September’s boat shows on the French and Italian rivieras with groundbreaking technology accompanied by highly appealing exterior and interior design, penned with unparalleled inspiration by Alberto Mancini and Francesco Guida respectively.

Another novelty at the German boat show will be the S6 Sportfly, a new version of the hugely successful S6 featured in the famous Times Square installation last spring. While retaining the collection’s sporty DNA, the boat is enhanced by a spacious and comfortable extra lounge area on the pilot house roof. Access to the flydeck and the second helm station is provided by a retractable stairway.

The other novelty the brand is taking to the German trade fair is the 72 Flybridge, which will be presented here with a new interior design that reasserts the brand’s stylistic hallmarks: flowing lines are accompanied by distinctive features like the ceilings, while the surfaces are enhanced by a play on contrasts between brushed and textured varieties of wood, adorned with polished mahogany detailing. The boat’s ceilings feature a major technical lighting project that works on both aesthetic and functional level, while the exteriors have been updated with a new streamlined design for the windows.

The fleet Azimut is taking to the Düsseldorf Boat Show is completed by the 78, another novelty of this year and the first Azimut Yachts Flybridge to be fitted with a triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system, the Atlantis 45 – the 14.60-meter yacht penned by Neo Design featuring two cabins and unprecedented storage capacity – and Magellano 53, with exterior styling and concept by Cor D. Rover, plus a Dual Mode semi-displacement hull that ensures cruising comfort and excellent seaworthiness in a wide range of sea conditions.

“Boot is the first show of the new calendar year and we are proud to attend what is becoming an increasingly important event on the international boat show scene. That’s why we’ve chosen to take some of our most successful models to Düsseldorf, including several novelties. And why we hope to be able to report the same positive feedback that has got the season off to such an excellent commercial start,” commented Azimut Yachts CEO Marco Valle.
